Includ-ed, red europea de educación inclusiva

The European Network on Inclusive Education and Disability, incluD-ed, will attend the international conference on inclusion and special education to be held from July 14-17, 2014, in Braga, Portugal. The conference is organised by the Division of International Special Education and Services (DISES) and co-sponsored by the University of Minho.

The theme of the conference is “Embracing Inclusive Approaches”. Practitioners, researchers, policy makers, and NGOs from around the world will be joined by their international colleagues to engage in lively and informed discussions about the current state of the expertise in meeting the needs of children and youth with special educational needs.  Topic areas include research, practice, policy, advocacy, and the arts in special education.

The conference will offer an exciting mix of outstanding keynote speakers, inspiring  panel discussions, as well as cutting edge presentations from leading researchers, practitioners, civil society representatives and policy makers.  The event will also be an opportunity for participants to explore future partnerships and further links between research, practice, and policy.  A rich social program will allow participants to learn more about Portugal and the region, where vibrant developments are taking place in all areas of life.
