Project ‘Technical Assistance to the Project Inclusive Education for Children with Special Needs in Uzbekistan’ funded by the European Union under the EuropeAid Development Programme and Implemented by Hulla and Co Human Dynamics, and in Cooperation with Republican Centre for Social Adaptation of Children invites two international experts to join the project and contribute to the implementation of project activities.

Vacancy Annoucement for position ‘Senior Non-Key Expert Teaching methodologies Expert’
Field of activity:
The overall output of this assignment is planning and developing teaching methodologies, methods and textbooks and evaluating them through piloting in selected schools and kindergartens.
The teaching methodologies package will consist of three teaching tools:
- - Methodology for Inclusive Education in school and pre-school;
- - Two textbooks, one for primary school and one for pre-school, which will be developed and piloted;
- - A comprehensive analysis of methodology and textbooks piloted in the five regions will be performed and presented.
Qualification and Skills:
- - University degree or equivalent academic degree in education (special education), psychology or equivalent
- - At least 3 years of experience in developing university level curriculum
- - Computer literacy
- - Good command of written and spoken English
- - Excellent facilitation skills
- - Experience with CIS region education systems would be an asset
- - Knowledge/experience in teacher and other staff education in CIS countries would be an asset
- - Knowledge of Russian and/or Uzbek would be an asset
General professional experience:
- - Minimum 3 years of experience in the preparation methods and implementation of training for teachers / special pedagogues or equivalent at PreSett and InSett in special and inclusive education theory and practice (10 years at least)
- - Knowledge and experience in inclusive education, assessment in the classroom, teaching and learning strategies, understanding the impact of different disabilities on learning and adapting teaching accordingly, working with parents
- - Experience of working in a team (projects / other academic activities implemented in teamwork)
Specific professional experience:
- - Experience of teaching / lecturing at university or equivalent with PreSett and InSett students
- - Experience in piloting and implementing innovative study methods in InSett / PreSett (e.g. problem-based, inquiry-based etc.)
- - Experience in publishing textbooks, educational materials
Work place: Tashkent, Uzbekistan with the possibility of short term missions to the 5 Resource Centres
Timing: 10 expert days from August 2014 to February 2015 (part time).

Vacancy Annoucement for position ‘Senior Non-Key Expert Training Modules and Training Expert’
Field of activity:
The overall output of this assignment is:
- - planning and developing teacher training modules - 2 for InSett and 2 for PreSett Institutions. Outcomes will include a thorough analysis, update and development of training modules for pre-service and in-service teacher and support staff and the piloting of these modules in InSett and PreSett Institutions;
- - developing and delivering a training of trainers programme for the trainers who will provide training for teachers and support staff, including the staff of Resource Centres.
Qualification and Skills:
- - University degree or equivalent academic degree in education (special education), psychology or equivalent
- PhD (doctor degree) would be an asset
- - Experience in developing / administrating / managing / coordinating university level curriculum (5 years of experience)
- - Experience with CIS (Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kirgizstan...region) education system would be an asset
- - Knowledge / experience of teacher and other staff education in CIS countries would be an asset
- - Experience working with Recourse Centres would be asset
- - Computer literacy
- - Good command of written and spoken English
- - Competency in Russian and/or Uzbek languages would be an asset
- - Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
General professional experience:
- - Experience in preparation and implementation of training for teachers / special pedagogues or equivalent at PreSett and InSett in special and inclusive education theory and practice (8 years at least)
- - Knowledge and experience in inclusive education, assessment in the classroom, teaching and learning strategies, understanding the impact of different disabilities on learning and adapting teaching accordingly, working with parents
- - Experience of working in a team (projects / other academic activities implemented in teamwork – participation in 3 projects / activities at least).
Specific professional experience:
- - Experience of teaching / lecturing at university or equivalent institution with PreSett and InSett students in teacher and / or support staff training (8 years at least)
- - Experience in special education practice specifically in the context of inclusive education of children with special educational needs (including diverse disabilities and needs) (5 years at least)
- - At least 8 years of working experience in developing curriculum/ modules for InSett and PreSett teacher and other staff (special pedagogues, psychologists, social workers/pedagogues etc.) education
- - Experience delivering training for trainers for inclusive school.
