Conference "Europe in Action 2015"
This annual conference will attract more than 200 people with intellectual disabilities, family members, professionals and friends from all over Europe. The programme will discuss the questions how the self-advocacy movement at local, regional and national level can be strengthened and supported. As well, we will look at how self-advocates and family members can support the implementation of the CRPD at local level. Interpretation English – Italian will be available to allow participants active discussions.
The conference will take place on 21 and 22 May 2015 at the Ergife hotel in Rome.
In addition, the following meetings will take place during that week:
- On 20 May, a Seminar on the monitoring of the UN Convention will take place, as well as a meeting of the EPSA Steering Group, self-advocates preparation meetings and the meeting of the Board of Inclusion Europe.
- On 23 May, the Inclusion Europe Annual General Assembly will take place from 9:00 to 17:00, thus giving enough time for detailed discussions. This will be followed by a Board meeting of Inclusion Europe.
- On 23 and 24 May, ANFFAS will hold its Annual General Assembly at the same location. This event is for the Italian members of ANFFAS only.
Since Rome is a very interesting location, the organisers will try to arrange evening sightseeing on 21 May, but strongly recommend to stay a few days longer in Rome to really take the opportunity to experience the eternal city.
