Employment For All Award 2015
EASPD continues to encourage social services and employers active in all European countries to present their best practices that have proven to be effective in creating better employment- and career- opportunities for people with disabilities. Both social organizations (for profit and not for profit) and employers from all over Europe are invited to participate in the second edition of this Award; the European Prize for best practices in supporting People with disabilities on the labour-market.
Why the 2015 award? To promote...
- the implementation of article 27 of the UN CRPD stating the right of persons with disabilities to work, on an equal basis, with others; this includes the right to have the opportunity to gain a living by work freely chosen or accepted in a labour market and work environment that is open, inclusive and accessible.
- More and better employment opportunities and career perspectives for persons with a disability: paid work, integrated in companies or in governmental administrations, DPO’s, NGO’s, or governmental bodies.
- more quality delivered by support services for people with a disability.
- the development and/or improvement of better practices, services, methods, ways of organizing or structuring – the support.
- Actions speak louder than words. We will award actions and results!

This is an opportunity for services and employers to showcase best practices and results. Promising practices stand a chance but the Jury will be positive for those practices having proven to have positive results: jobs found, jobs created, made available or accessible for people with disabilities, and improved career perspectives.
What results do we expect from this award?
- Positive reinforcement for the selected participants.
- Improvement opportunities for organizational structures.
- media coverage and dissemination for the best practices.
- raised standards and level of service support.
- Back-benching opportunities for organizations and practices.
- networking and co-operation opportunities between NGO’s, services, organizations, employers, (non-)governmental bodies.
- A platform for actors improving employment opportunities for people with a disability.
What is new in the 2015 edition
In 2015 there will be some changes! Candidates will be able to participate in one of two categories:
- The not-for-profit social sector employment for all award.
- The Employers’ employment for all award. (including for-profit social services).
Deadlines
The call for applications will be available in January 2015.
Award Ceremony will take place during the EASPD annual conference on Employment in Zadar (Croatia) on 7 and 8th of May 2015. Nominated organizations will be invited for the conference.
