Facilitate Inclusive Learning Strategies (vFILS) is an online course which starts on the 9th of September 2014 and runs until January 2015. Aimed at teachers, lecturers, trainers and needs assessors, vFILS introduces the practice of developing inclusive teaching and support strategies for learners through the effective use of assistive technology and non-technological approaches.
vFILS is the only course of its kind and is an entry requirement to the professional qualification in Needs Assessment Practice (vNAP). Comprising of degree-level study, vFILS is benchmarked at SCQF level 9 which equates to QCF/EQF level 6 and is accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority whose qualifications are recognised internationally. The language of the course is English and the course fee is 270 GBP (around 339 Euros).
Since 2001, The BRITE Initiative has developed a range of qualifications to give educators the skills to create more inclusive learning opportunities.
