The Inclusive Learning Project (Supporting Trainers for an Inclusive Vocational Education and Training) has just launched a MOOC on Designing and Developing Inclusive Learning for four weeks (October 1 - October 31, 2014).The purpose of this course is to provide teachers with the concepts and tools for designing and developing inclusive learning considering the preferences and needs of all students. The course introduces teachers in the Universal Design for Learning and the main concepts of web accessibility while they develop open educational resources. Teachers will be able to apply approaches and techniques for achieving an environment for inclusive learning.

Course Objectives: In this course participants will

• - Recognize the diversity of the educational system.
• - Plan and develop an accessible inclusive learning design.

Inclusive Design and Accessibility

The Inclusive Learning Project (Supporting Trainers for an Inclusive Vocational Education and Training) aims to provide to Vocational Education and Training (VET) institutions with a solution for related inclusion problems (addressing the Lifelong Learning Program priorities) considering two main aspects:

• - Guidelines and a certified training course for VET trainers to help them address their diverse classrooms (e.g. students with hearing impairment, students with visual impairment)
• - A technological infrastructure for designing, developing, sharing and delivering accessible open educational resources
