SEMINAR: Accessibility is our Collective Goal

The Finnish National Council on Disability is organizing a seminar on accessibility issues on Tuesday 25th of November 2014 at Iiris – the Service and Activity Center for the Visually Impaired. Focus is on accessibility issues on CRPD, building, ITC, traffic research and user comments.
Target audience:
- - experts on building, traffic and ITC
- - disability activists in organizations and in local disability councils
- - self advocates in accessibility solutions
The seminar will gather international participants engaged in accessibility issues. There will be a simultaneous interpretation in English and in Finnish.
Ms. Paula Risikko, the Minister of Transport and Local Government will open the seminar.
The key note speaker is Mr. Stig Langvad, the Danish member of the Committee on the Rights of the People with Disabilities.
The seminar has no fee, but the participants have to pay their own lunch (8,90€). The morning coffee and the afternoon coffee are on the National Council On Disability in Finland.
REGISTRATION:
As capacity is limited, only first 120 persons will fit in, in order of registration. REGISTRATIONS ARE BINDING. Possible cancellations should be informed immediately so that the seats can be freed for interested persons. We cannot take registrations without personal details.
