Network activities
The main activities of the Network are:
► Identifying and exchanging good practices: The Partners with their Local Promoting Groups collaborate to involve their cities in strengthening good practice exchange through the network website, events, meetings or other individual means. One outcome of this process is the publication of a guide of good practice.
► Compiling resources: Network partners join efforts to consolidate information on organizations, experts, websites, relevant documents and material to promote synergies within the field of inclusive education. This information is presented in the resources area of the network Website through a database. This platform assists in building a virtual “IncluD-ed” community among professionals, organisations and interested public.
► Disseminating relevant information: The network uses various strategic tools to disseminate information and good practice which includes:
♦ The website features information about network activities and stakeholders, news, events, good practices with accompanying testimonials, and various resources including organizations, experts, links and material.
♦ Meetings and events are organized by the local coordinators to exchange good practice and experiences in participating cities.
♦ The guide of good practice is a collection of selected exemplary, innovative projects identified by Network partners with the goal of recognizing tested models for inclusive education for people with disabilities and inspiring new pilots and practices.
► Influencing together the decision and policy making process: Partners also build relevant messages, and promote dialogue with public authorities including the EU and at national levels, to foster the effective inclusion of people with disabilities in education.
► Identifying activities for specific local needs: Partners also organize specific activities in line with the local contexts, needs and interests. These activities may include topics such as: teacher trainings, consulting services for families, or sensitivity training for the general public.
► Evaluation and continual assessment on the network as a whole and for each specific partner will take place throughout the project, with the support of the Technical Secretariat.
